    Yeah, I do.

Of couse it isnt right. The only reason people capture these wild horses is to profit from them. People want to show others that they can “tame” the wild mustang and will pay big money to aquire one to keep as a pet. It is thought that by the end of 2009 wild mustanges will be extinct in the US. The states with them are now trying to pass a law to kill them or sterilize the mustangs. Many reasons behind this, they say, just do some searching online.

A horse is an animal. Meaning it has primordial instincts, a.k.a. run from things, kick, eat, and sleep. They do not have a freedom or…a spirit as the Native North Americans would like you to say.

  • Hi my name is: ANIMAL says:

I think wild horses should stay wild. I can’t stand to see people catch and break wild horses.

I think all wild animals should be just that wild.

Yes I thing wild horses should stay wild. That is my personal opinion. But I also under stand the reason behind rescuing the wild Mustang and the Chincoteague Ponies. The Chincoteague ponies over populate the Island that they live on, and some are rounded up and sold to feed and Vet the rest. The Wild Mustangs are rounded up and ether sold for pets, or dog food, because of there over population, and because the ranchers don’t want to share the pasture with them. I have a second generation Mustang and I can say that a Mustang will eat until they starve there entire herd out. My one Mustang can eat more than my TB, Donkey, and 25 goats put together. I don’t think it is right but that is the way that it is. When Mustang are rounded up most are sold just for the transportation costs to have them shipped to you or who ever will adopt them. And if people don’t adopt them then they go for dog food. I think that is worst then them loosing there freedom. We may not have Wild Mustangs in the future but at lest the Mustang will live.
And at one time all animals where wild. The tame animals of today are offspring of wild animals that where domesticated or are still of the wild nature. Some animals that we buy at pet stores cant be raised in captivity. They are trapped and then sold. I hope this will help you under stand why this is done. It may not be right but in some cases it may be the best alternative to there chances for survival.
    Best of Luck 2U.
